The Duchess of Sussex is celebrating her birthday today and the way in L.A.  Well-wishes were sent publicly by Her Majesty The Queen and the Duchess of Cambridge. To be fair, they couldn’t let the day go without wishing her a happy birthday. Can you imagine the furore that would cause?

The Royal Family’s Instagram account posted a photograph this morning of herself and Meghan Markle. The photograph was taken during the one and only solo outing that the Queen and the Duchess of Sussex had.  The message read: ‘Wishing The Duchess of Sussex a very happy birthday!’

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s account, Kensington Royal later posted their own birthday wishes. Their posts were followed shortly afterwards by posts from Clarence House, an account for the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall.

All birthday wishes were short and to the point. I mean, what else could they have said? Happy birthday, you cow, thanks for upping and leaving us in this mess? They displayed try Britishness and kept what Meghan Markle rejected. A stiff. upper lip!

The birthday wishes come ahead of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s book, Finding Fails, I mean Freedom.

“…what else could they have said? Happy birthday, you cow, thanks for upping and leaving us in this mess?.”

That book is expected to blow the lid on the goings on within the Royal Family. Given By the extracts serialised in The Times and People Mag in the US, it’s a bit of a damp squib.

Written by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durant, the book claims that the relationship  between the Sussexes and the Cambridges was so bad that they were barely speaking  when the Meghan and Harry left for the US.  The Sussexes believe that the book will write wrongs thrown at them but so far it does nothing of the sort. It gives more credibility to the belief that they were a pain to work for and be around.

I’m sitting perched waiting for the release of the book. I won’t be buying it but will read all extracts I can get my hands on.

In the meantime though, happy birthday Meghan Markle. I expect that we’ll hear from ‘close friends’ of yours soon about how you celebrated your birthday.
